Christmas Canapés by Trish Deseine

When visitors arrive, we all want to be able to serve some small nibbles at short notice. This trio of crab based canapés just fits the bill! Using wonderful Del La Mer crab meat, Tastefully Yours sweet chilli sauce and crackers from Sheridan's, you'll create these in minutes and have plenty of time to chat with your guests.

Serves 8-12 | 15 mins prep 

Ingredients

  • De la Mer Cooked Crab Meat

  • Tastefully Yours Sweet Chilli Sauce

  • Sheridan’s Brown Bread Crackers

  • Mayonnaise

  • Lime Juice

  • Avocado

  • Roquette

  • Olives

  • Gherkins

  • Salt and Peppers


Method

Chilli Mayo Crab Bites

Mix 1 tblsp of mayonnaise with 1 tblsp of Tastefully Yours Sweet Chilli sauce.

Add 3 tblsp of crabmeat, a squeeze of lime juice & mix together.

Spoon onto your favourite crackers, garnish and serve.

Avocado Roquette and Crab bites

Mix 1 tblsp finely chopped avocado with 1 tblsp chopped roquette, 1/2 tblsp mayonnaise & a squeeze of lime juice.

Add 3 tblsp of crabmeat. Season with salt & pepper and mix together.

Spoon onto your favourite crackers, garnish and serve. 

Crab and Olive bites

Mix 4 or 5 chopped olives and 1 chopped gherkin with 1 tblsp Mayonnaise and a squeeze of lemon or lime juice.

Add 3 tblsp of crabmeat. Season with salt & pepper and mix together.

Spoon onto your favourite crackers,  and serve.
