At the heart of France’s Côtes de Provence, Château d’Esclans sits near the Roman city of Frejus on the Mediterranean coast. Famous for its old Grenache vines which produce grapes with greater concentration of flavor than younger vines, Whispering Angel has become a reference point for Provence Rosé. Made from Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle (Vermentino), it’s pale salmon colour draws one in, the delicate nose, lovely oiliness, soft but present acidity with grapefruit freshness a delight. Full and lush while bone dry, with a smooth finish, this highly approachable Rosé is great enjoyed on its own or with food.
